Our stimulating and challenging programme takes a comprehensive approach to understanding tourism and its relationships with the economy, environment and society, within a broad-based business context.

These include changes in the political, social, environmental and technological environments that affect tourism and hospitality, logistics and operational processes, managing a business, and the interaction between suppliers, clients, resources and other stakeholders in the global economy.

It aims to enable students to appreciate the diverse nature of the hospitality industry, to develop an awareness of the economic and competitive environment within which it operates, to explore relationships between demand and supply and to explore currents trends that occur within the industry with respect to food provision.

The module also focuses on tourists and the tourism industry, and the relationships between these and crime. The study makes an attempt to quantify the economic benefits of tourism. I love that we frequently have guest speakers who are industry leaders who we can network with - this is unique and something I have never experienced before.

HTM Tourism, Hospitality and Events Research Methods This module investigates the potential contributions of different disciplines and approaches that help to explain the nature of tourism, hospitality and events management. In the global context, Indian tourism resources have become one of the prime attractions to the international tourist community in a large scale.
